We are an independent insurance agency specializing in home insurance, auto insurance, and business insurance for a variety of industries, making us your go-to source for coverage. We focus on helping you obtain the correct amount of coverage to protect you from your unique risks. Also, we love insurance, and we’re confident we’ll get you to love it too. We enjoy meeting with our clients and explaining your coverages to you—we like to have a good time. Insurance doesn’t have to be a negative, boring thing with us.

In the Beginning

The Hutch Agency was established in Proctorville, OH, in 1995 as a scratch independent insurance agency by Jeff Hutchison. Our agency was founded with the goal of being our community’s source for caring people and professional insurance advice. Since 1995, our agency has continued to grow, taking a larger caring staff and expanding into new offices and states.

Growing Into Kentucky

In 2014, we opened a new office in Lexington, KY. This was a huge honor for us, not only because we were able to begin serving the great people of Kentucky (go Cats!), we were one of the first Erie Insurance agencies to be invited to join ERIE’s expansion into the state. Now, with Erie Insurance and our many other top-rated carriers, we are happy to serve the needs of our clients in Kentucky.

Looking Ahead

Since opening in 2014, our Lexington, KY, office has grown with a caring staff of professionals alongside our Proctorville, OH office. Now, The Hutch Agency serves thousands of insureds through the various carriers it represents. Known for being an agency that cares, The Hutch Agency continues to grow, serving five other states along with Kentucky and Ohio. We can’t wait for what the years ahead hold in store for our agency and our communities.
